Lisbon (or Lisboa) is the capital and largest city in Portugal and is considered to be a major European financial centre. It has a a rich and diverse cultural heritage dating from Roman, Christian and Muslim eras and has numerous churches and buildings of architectural interest.
However it is also a very modern city which has excellent shopping, music and sports events.
