Toulouse is also known as the ‘Ville Rose’ or Pink City, for it’s distinctive brick architecture, the city having been built almost exclusively with tiles and Roman brick, and recently restored.
A number of fine cathedrals and churches complete a wonderful architectural display.
Toulouse is also an active cultural centre, and hosts numerous festivals and events.
